In the 4 years I've spent in product design, I've got to get my hands dirty in multiple emerging domains like B2B SaaS, FinTech, EdTech, Web3, CBCs, Health / Fitness, E-Commerce, etc. Freelancing and side projects have allowed me to get a front seat to what's happening in the market. It excites me to witness accelerating tech advancements across all domains, see how they're interconnected, and even better, be a part of it.

After shipping two heavy data SaaS products, and designing tools for other clients, and my side projects, I have a decent understanding on building products at scale with innumerable edge cases
Consumer apps
I got the opportunity to design for various user profiles ranging from school students in India to elderly lawyers in the US.
Landing pages
This is an area where both marketing and story telling come together. Having built ~20 landing pages, I got to explore multiple ways of presenting a product or a service.
Pitch decks
Designing pitch decks with founders has been one of the best learning experiences as the exercise really forces one to get a better understanding of the problem being solved and defining the market for it.

Capturing live moments from an interesting perspective is an activity that I haven't gotten bored of even after 11 years. I currently only take up video projects which explore topics I'm really interested to capture.
Editing
The endless possibilities and the ways a story can be changed during editing are what excite me the most. Can never get enough of stitching beautiful clips with good music.
Motion graphics
Exploring animation led me to really understand what goes behind the screen technically, when a video is playing. Vector motion graphics allowed me to convey more than I ever could, through live action.
Color grading
I'm a sucker for intentionally color graded films and I got the opportunity to work with clients with heavy distribution to grade their footage.

Prem's ability to take my often very abstract thoughts and turn them into high-quality meaningful designs within a short cycle of iterations was very impressive. Prem is thoughtful, curious and asks the right questions to get a good sense of the business perspective before starting design work, which I believe to be super important. Experiments and side projects
About me
After realizing that mechanical engineering was not for me in college, I have decided to explore alternate professions, starting with photography and film-making. While freelancing, I've also got to explore graphic design, motion graphics, and eventually I stumbled upon UI/UX design. As I kept digging more, it seemed like a path which engages both sides of my brain. As I was self taught, I took up multiple internships and projects to get my hands dirty. Soon after college, I started my career as a fulltime Product Designer at Exterro. A year later, I decided to move to a high paced startup with a young team in an emerging field, and I joined Openhouse as their first designer on board.
In 2021, with so much happening with tech all around the globe, I quit my job without a plan to explore all the fields I'm interested in through product design. I got to work with some talented founders and creators and provide value them in their building journeys.
Through my side projects, I try to explore my interests - film and products, a little further. While I try to understand the business world, I also try to keep the artist in me alive by capturing moments and vlogs whenever I find time.
